As a young high school student at Las Vegas Advanced Technologies Academy (A-Tech), CJ Sattler began building networks. Passionate about bringing reliable Internet connectivity to Southern Nevada, CJ was the original architect behind the infrastructure that powered LV.Net. He built the proprietary ERP software and the physical WISP network from the ground up, ensuring that hard-to-reach areas, from the heart of Vegas to Boulder City, Pahrump, Laughlin, and beyond, had high-speed Internet access.
While CJ was focused on technology and network growth, the business was owned and operated by someone else entirely.
The Crisis That Almost Cost Everything
A few years ago, the owner of LV.Net made a series of personal and professional choices that ultimately led to his conviction and imprisonment by the federal government. As the news broke, the company was thrown into absolute chaos.
The collateral damage of these events was staggering. Nearly 100 hardworking, dedicated local employees, technicians, customer support staff, and network engineers were suddenly facing the terrifying reality of losing their jobs and their ability to provide for their families. Furthermore, Internet service for thousands of local homes and businesses hung in the balance.
The company was on the verge of collapse under the weight of this terrible news.
A Rescue Mission, Not a "Rebrand"
Some rumors on the internet suggest that isp.net is just a "rebrand" to hide from the past. Nothing could be further from the truth.
In March of 2024, as CJ saw the company he helped build on the verge of collapse, and realized that 100 of his friends and colleagues were about to be out of work, he refused to walk away. He didn't hesitate. He stepped in, investing his own personal life savings to buy the local internet infrastructure from LV.Net, to rescue the network, protect the clients, and save the livelihoods of the local families who relied on those paychecks.
isp.net was born out of a rescue mission. It was a complete transfer of power and ownership into the hands of the visionary who actually built the technology in the first place. A severance from a history of chaos to a future of stability and responsibility.
