A 4K camera farm is an upload problem dressed as a security project. Consumer cable plans are built for Netflix-down, not dozens of streams-up to an NVR or a cloud VMS. If footage gaps appear at closing time, look at the WAN before you buy another camera.
Keep the recorder on a known path
Local NVR plus a stable circuit beats a pile of SD cards on open Wi-Fi. If the recorder should live off-site, that is ColoNet, not a PC under the register. Pair it with BizNet so the store and the rack are on the same operator.
Privacy is not optional copy
Cameras in Nevada workplaces and hospitality have notice and retention rules. We sell connectivity, not legal advice—talk to counsel. For the ethics angle see security vs privacy.
