Single path is the outage
If POS, cloud phone, and cameras all ride one cable modem, a backhoe or a CMTS event takes the floor with it. Backup internet on a second technology (wireless if the primary is wired, or a second wired path) is the fix, not a faster speed tier on the same jack.
Peak-hour slowdowns
Shared last miles congest after school and during convention turnover. If speed tests at 6 a.m. look fine and 7 p.m. does not, you are oversubscribed, not “under-packaged.” Dedicated or lightly contended wireless (BizNet, PremiumNet) is the conversation.
