isp.net spent time at Johnston STEM Academy talking with students about how packets actually move—towers, data centers, and the unglamorous work of keeping a regional network online. This is a recap, not a product pitch in a school hallway.
What we showed, not what we sold
Students asked about Wi-Fi, gaming lag, and whether “the cloud” is a building. We walked through microwave paths, why upload matters, and what a NOC does at 2 a.m. If a student leaves thinking internet is a utility with physics attached, the visit worked.
